Three things most comfort shoes get wrong
- [01]The toe box is shaped like a foot, not a shoe.Most sneakers taper. Your toes don't. Ample's last is widest at the toes, so a bunion or a wide foot has nowhere to be squeezed.
- [02]Flat and flexible, so you feel the floor.A raised, stiff heel tips you forward and hides the ground from you. A flat, bendable sole lets your foot do its job and helps you feel steadier on tile and wet floors.

Which Ample fits my feet?Before you order
Do they run true to size?
Yes. We sized the last to standard US women's sizes and added half sizes. If you are between sizes, take the half size up. Use the printed foot-measure sheet in the box, or the fit guide, and if it is still wrong the exchange is free.
Will they fit my orthotics?
The insole lifts out. Most flat or low-profile orthotics fit; thick rigid ones may not.
Is this a barefoot shoe?
It is flat and flexible like one, with a thin cushioned insole and a protective sole. Most people find them comfortable straight away. If you have worn thick cushioned shoes for years, start with an hour a day for the first week.
Will they help my plantar fasciitis or neuropathy?
We can't promise that, and we won't. Ample is a comfortable, roomy, flat shoe. Many people with those conditions prefer shoes that don't squeeze or tip them forward. Talk to your doctor about your condition; talk to us about fit.
Can I wash them?
Yes. Take the insole out, machine wash cold, air dry.
When does my order ship?
In-stock sizes ship within one business day from our US warehouse, free, and arrive in 3–6 days.
